The systems we are implementing include:

  1. A new organization structure that shows the responsibility of each position.
  2. Identified the need for an experienced General Manager to focus on and control the day to day operations.
  3. Developed job descriptions and defined accountability for current and future employees so that everyone knows their responsibility and the company expectations from that position.
  4. Starting a personnel evaluation program to provided feedback to each employee on their performance and how they can improve their performance.
  5. Established a quarterly incentive plan for non-sales office personnel to share the increased company profits with the employees.
  6. Identified ways to increase the productivity of drivers and technicians. Established monthly incentive programs for drivers and service technicians to reward them for increased productivity.
  7. Adjusted the service technicians and installation technicians rates to increase gross margins.
  8. Developed a new compensation plan for sales personnel.
  9. Developed a buyout program.
  10. Showed us how to adjust staffing druing slow periods to increase the bottom line.
  11. Showed us what is needed on our new business, radon and Dr. Energysaver, to make them a profitable segment of our overall business plan.

I now understand the benefit of having the structure in place to operate more efficiently and profitably. I realize what we have worked on will not become part of the company culture without insisting these processes must be exercised everyday.
