With a background spanning public accounting, corporate leadership, and ownership of multiple small businesses, Lou brings the rare perspective of someone who has sat on both sides of the table; as an operator and as a trusted advisor.

Under his leadership, AMS has delivered over $1 billion in ROI across thousands of client interactions in 400+ industries, and Lou remains personally active with every owner the firm works with, because he believes accountability starts at the top.

A contributor to Forbes and 21 Hats, host of Straight Talk on YouTube, and a 20-year member of the U.S. Conference of Mayors Small Business Task Force — where he has presented to 125 mayors across the country — Lou is as committed to the broader small business community as he is to the individual owners he serves.

Angela (Angie) Soety serves as Senior Vice President & General Counsel at American Management Services, where she plays a central role in the leadership team dedicated to helping independent business owners build stronger, more profitable companies.

With a background that spans retail operations management, advertising, and law (including a Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law), Angie brings a rare combination of on-the-ground business experience and strategic precision to everything she does.

After more than a decade at AMSERV, she has been instrumental in building the organizational infrastructure that allows our consultants to deliver consistent, high-impact results for business owners across 400+ industries.

She is a certified Predictive Index Analyst and a John C. Maxwell leadership program graduate who leads her team the same way AMSERV serves its clients; with accountability, directness, and a belief that every business owner deserves a real plan for profit.

Joseph Balbo

Director of Business Survey™

Joseph Balbo serves as Director of Business Survey™ at American Management Services, where he has spent 15 years doing some of the most consequential work in the firm; walking into businesses facing real financial pressure and helping owners find a way forward.

With a background that includes owning and operating his own businesses and consulting across a wide range of industries, Joseph brings firsthand credibility to every engagement.

His clients span construction, manufacturing, distribution, and services, typically generating between $5M and $50M in revenue, and the results speak for themselves:

Louis Fattore serves as Director of Information Technology at American Management Services, where he has spent 18 years translating the company's business goals into the technology infrastructure that powers them.

With more than 20 years of enterprise IT experience, including leadership roles supporting environments of up to 1,300 users across multiple departments, Louis brings a rare combination of deep technical expertise and operational discipline to everything he oversees.

His background spans network administration, CRM systems management, service level agreement development, change control governance, and large-scale IT project leadership across industries, including direct mail, commercial construction, property management, and data processing operations.

At AMSERV, he ensures that the systems, tools, and technology our consultants and staff depend on every day operate at the level the firm's clients deserve. A Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science and CompTIA Network+ and A+ certifications, Louis understands that technology isn't the point — what it enables is.

His job is to make sure nothing technical ever stands between the AMS team and the work that matters.

Accounting Manager

Michael Mascia serves as Accounting Manager at American Management Services, where he has spent 16 years ensuring the financial infrastructure of the firm operates with the same precision and discipline AMS brings to every client engagement.

With a background spanning healthcare finance, payroll, accounts payable, and general accounting — including five years as a Controller at a healthcare facility in New York — Michael brings deep institutional knowledge and a steady hand to every aspect of AMS's financial operations.

He oversees the full accounting function at AMS, including cash collections, accounts payable, payroll, employee expense reimbursement, and financial reporting for leadership.

A graduate of Iona University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Michael understands firsthand that strong financials aren't just a back-office function — they're the foundation a growing company depends on.

His 16 years of tenure reflect the same commitment to consistency and excellence that defines the AMS team.

Lori Burcaw serves as CRM Administrator and Administrative Supervisor at American Management Services, where she has spent over 11 years building and maintaining the internal systems that allow AMSERV consultants to deliver consistent, high-impact results for business owners across the country.

A Salesforce-certified implementer and experienced operations professional, Lori led the full migration of AMSERV's CRM platform — from system selection through company-wide training — ensuring the firm's client management infrastructure kept pace with its growth.

With a background spanning property management, financial services, and media, and advanced degrees from Louisiana State University and Tulane University, Lori brings exceptional organizational precision and institutional depth to everything she oversees. She is the steady operational hand behind a team that never stops moving.
